Alex Anderson and Jaylen Wysinger each scored 12 points as TSU fell to Vanderbilt 109-74 on Thursday.
TSU held a brief 4-3 lead but the Commodores went on a 16-2 run over the next few minutes to lead 19-6. The closest TSU would get was a 12-point margin but Vandy remained red hot en route to shooting 60 percent from the field in the half to lead 60-33 at halftime. The contest was evenly played in the second half but the first-half deficit was too much to overcome for TSU.
Anthony Andrews, Zaire Hayes and Ahmed Nedal Abdelrahman all scored nine points while Zy Mortle led the team with five rebounds.
TSU is back in action on Wednesday against CBS Houston at 6:30 p.m. inside the H&PE Arena.
