Brown Wins SWAC Title, Women’s Cross Country Finishes 3rd Overall
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Junior Alyvia Brown was crowned the SWAC’s individual champion as the TSU women’s cross country team posted its best finish in a decade following a third-place finish at the 2025 SWAC Cross Country Championships on Monday.
TSU last medaled as a team during the 2015 cross country championship (third-place) as Brown’s performance marked the best individual finish by a TSU runner since Mariah Stewart’s fourth-place finish in 2018.
The favorite entering the race, Brown lived up to expectations as she claimed her first individual SWAC championship in cross country.
