Football Hosts NFL Hall of Famer Darrell Green In Road to 100 Campaign Reception

The Texas Southern University football team hosted NFL Hall of Famer Darrell Green on Friday evening for a reception with TSU alumni, supporters, community leaders, and football enthusiasts inside KTSU 90.9 FM.
The event was held in support of the Texas Southern University Football Program as the university celebrates the Road to 100 Campaign. The Road to 100 Campaign is dedicated to strengthening the future of Texas Southern Football by providing critical resources that enhance the student-athlete experience, support program growth, and help build a championship culture for generations to come.
A native of Houston, Green was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2008 and is also a College Football Hall of Famer. A member of the NFL's 100th Anniversary All-Time Team, Green was a seven-time pro bowler during his impressive 20-year career. Even though they both played on the defensive side of the ball, Green and TSU head football coach Cris Dishman was amongst the tops at their positions during their NFL playing days.
The event was moderated by longtime FOX 26 reporter Nate Griffin as the conversation focused on leadership, perseverance, community impact, and the importance of investing in HBCU athletics during a fireside chat. Attendees also had the opportunity to hear from the TSU administration as they shared vital information regarding the Road to 100 Campaign.
