Women’s Golf in 1st, Amezcua in 2nd Following Day 1 of the PGA Works Collegiate Championship
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Texas Southern Women’s Golf Team has a one-shot lead and is in first place after their opening round of 310 at the PGA Works Collegiate Championship on Monday.
The morning field had an eventful day, thanks to delayed play shortly after everyone had teed off due to severe rain. After roughly four holes, heavy rains came down, causing standing water, which resulted in suspended play for over an hour. Play was resumed, and the morning field completed play.
