DENTON, Texas – After a solid start, the TSU women’s basketball team couldn’t maintain the momentum in the second and third quarters as they fell 78-54 at North Texas on Thursday evening.

Tied at nine in the first quarter, Courtlyn Loudermill’s three-pointer moved TSU ahead 12-9 but UNT would tie it several minutes later. TSU would turn to Daeja Holmes to jumpstart its offense with four consecutive points followed by five from Treasure Thompson as they led 21-14 at the close of the quarter.

The momentum was short-lived for TSU unfortunately as they went scoreless (0-for-7) for the first four minutes of the half while UNT opened on a 16-2 run to lead 30-23. TSU would cut it to five but struggled with only two field…
