ITTA BENA, Miss. – Texas Southern remained undefeated in SWAC play after a dominant 80-54 win over Mississippi Valley State University Thursday night.

Ahead 14-10 in the first quarter, Daeja Holmes’ three-pointer gave TSU a seven-point cushion and the defense would do the rest as they held MVSU scoreless the reminder of the quarter while Holmes added another basket for an early 20-10 first quarter lead. Reigning SWAC Newcomer of the Week Treasure Thompson took over to open the second quarter as she scored nine points during an 11-0 run to lead 31-10 but the Delta Devils would counter with a 10-1 run to cut the deficit to 32-20.
