Volleyball Kicks Off 2021 Campaign Friday Afternoon

The Texas Southern volleyball team opens the 2021 fall campaign Friday afternoon on the road in Thibodeaux, La. at the Colonels Classic hosted by Nicholls State.

TSU will face off against tourney host Nicholls State to open the season at 12:30 p.m. followed by a 3 p.m. contest against SWAC foe Southern at 3 p.m. The team will close out tourney play against Niagara at 10 a.m. Saturday.

TSU returns most of its roster from the 2021 spring season as they lost five letterwinners. Second-year head coach Gabrielle Floyd added four newcomers to the roster as the team prepares for a busy preseason with five consecutive tournaments.
