Tigers Improve After Enduring Tough Conditions On Day 1 Of Big Texan Invitational
KERRVILLE, Texas – Texas Southern men’s golf is currently in 11th place after they tackled strong winds and rain during the opening round of The Big Texan Invitational hosted by the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
Freshman Kci Lindskog leads the Tigers after firing a 2-under 70 in his second round for a 4-over day one total of 148 (78-70). William O’Connor is one shot back with a 149 (74-75).
“Our team golf performance is improving,” Texas Southern University head golf coach, Dr. Gary Grandison said.
Junior Devansh Chadha had a three-shot improvement in his second round to post 151 (77-74). Freshman Joel Sullivan was one stroke back after his 8-over, 152 (76-76) while senior Landon Johnstone is three strokes back with a 155 (81-74)
“We are one step away from advancing to the next competitive level,” Dr. Grandison concluded.
The Tigers tee up for their final round Tuesday at Camache Trace Golf Club with an 8:30 a.m. start.
