History

TSU overcame a four-point deficit in overtime with defense and clutch free throw shooting to defeat Grambling State 71-66 Monday night inside the H&PE Arena.

Based on the past history between both teams, the contest would be close and it was to begin with as TSU would claim an early 11-7 lead as Kenny Hunter led the way for the Tigers with four early points but GSU’s Ernest Ross would set the tone for a rare battle of post players with five points.
