Texas Southern fought hard in a closely contested game against Jackson State but ultimately fell short with a final score of 3-7.
TSU struck early, scoring 3 runs in the 2nd inning. J. Herrera lll walked, D. Garcia’s sacrifice bunt advanced him to second, and J. Flores walked, setting the stage for E. Joubert’s double to left field, which brought in two RBIs. K. Phillips’ bunt reached on an error by the pitcher, allowing Joubert to score an unearned run.
