GULFPORT, Miss. – Zaria Turner pitched a one-hit shutout while Destiny Menchaca and Kylie Wilson both had two hits and an RBI as TSU claimed a 3-0 win over Alabama State in the second round of the SWAC Tournament.
TSU once again set the tone early in the second inning as Penelope Saenz drew a two-out walk followed by Jordyn Talbert’s double. Saenz would score on the throw for a 1-0 lead. Kylie Wilson walked and Menchaca’s RBI single brought home Talbert for a 2-0 margin.
