Soccer to Face Alcorn State Inside Durley Stadium
The Texas Southern soccer team will take on Alcorn State in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play on Friday inside Alexander Durley Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m.

Texas Southern (1-11, 0-2 SWAC) is coming off of a 3-1 loss to Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Sunday. Kennedy Tristan scored her first goal of the season in the 72nd minute on a penalty kick as TSU registered 19 shots with eight being on goal. Goalkeepers Jaidyn Christophe and Alessandra Bastidas evenly split play-time in the back of the net while tallying a combined four saves.
TSU forward Hajar Benjoud ranks No. 1 in the SWAC in shots taken, having 37 and ranks No. 2 for shots on goal with 15 in 12 games played.

Alcorn State (2-7, 0-2) dropped its last two conference matchups to Southern 1-0 on Sunday, and to Jackson State, 2-1 on Friday. The lone goal was scored by Samara Nunn, which was her first of the season.
The Lady Braves are led offensively by Jailyn Ward who has registered seven shots this season with four being on goal and four goals to show for it.
