Duncan, Sr. To Lead Both Men’s and Women’s Track & Field Programs

Texas Southern University Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics announced today that Clyde Duncan, Sr. has been appointed to lead both the men’s and women’s track & field programs.
 
“Coach Duncan, Sr. has had success coaching both male and female student-athletes throughout his career and I anticipate him doing the same once again at Texas Southern,” said Granger. “He has invested 35 years of his undergraduate and professional career at Texas Southern and is the perfect fit for the role.”
 
Duncan returns as the lead of both programs for the first time since 2013. From 1995-2013, he served as head coach of both programs and developed several student-athletes into national contenders under his watch, including NCAA 200-meter indoor national champion Tremedia Brice.
