HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Clara Dotigny’s first goal of the season proved to be the difference as Texas Southern women’s soccer earned a gritty 1-0 road victory over Alabama A&M Friday morning at the AAMU Soccer Field.
The Lady Tigers continued their conference climb, picking up their second Southwestern Athletic Conference win behind a composed defensive effort and timely execution in the final third.
Dotigny, a senior midfielder, found the back of the net in the 25th minute off a well-placed assist from senior defender Melissa Knutson. The goal capped a strong first half for TSU, who matched the Bulldogs shot-for-shot and held their ground despite Alabama A&M’s aggressive pace.
