Carter, Hunter Earn Preseason Honors, Men’s Basketball Picked 2nd
The TSU men’s basketball duo of Grayson Carter and Kenny Hunter were named to the 2024-25 Preseason All-SWAC Second Team. Hunter was also tabbed the league’s Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
The 6-10 Carter is TSU’s top-returning scorer as he averaged 7.1 points and 4.2 rebounds this past season. The Dallas native was third on the team in blocked shots (16) and shot 46 percent from the field. He had 10 games with double-digit points including a high of 19 against North Carolina A&T State and Mississippi Valley State while also posting a double-double versus Samford.
