ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Texas Southern baseball team clicked on all cylinders at Mississippi Valley State as they scored 45 runs to sweep a three-game series.

Calvin McClendon had a memorable homecoming with a four-hit shutout as TSU won game one 13-0.
TSU took an early 3-0 lead after three innings and that was all the offense it needed as McClendon, who pitched at MVSU two years ago and is a Mississippi native, kept the Delta Devils in check. TSU broke the game open in the fourth after a six-run burst aided by RBI doubles from Elijah Rodriguez and Jason Lazo. TSU tacked on two runs in the fifth and two in the seventh to run-rule MVSU.
