Soccer Falls At Rice On Sunday

Texas Southern dropped a non-conference soccer contest at Rice by a 4-0 margin on Sunday.

Rice scored an early goal 13 minutes in for a 1-0 margin and added a pair of goals nearly a minute apart in the 17th and 15th minute to up the margin to 3-0 in the first half.

Despite the early setback, the Tigers came out aggressive in the second half as Isabella Dillow recorded two shots nearly five minutes in followed by a pair of shots from Dejah Marsh. Rice would add a goal late in the half for the final margin.

Marsh led TSU with three shots followed by two from Dillow. Alyssa Hart and Alicia Adu both had four saves for the Tigers. TSU is back in action at 5 p.m. on Friday at McNeese State.
