VICTORIA, Texas – The Tigers arrived and left their mark Tuesday afternoon at the UHV vs. TSU Dual hosted by the University of Houston-Victoria at Victoria Country Club.
Freshman Owen Walsh was the top scorer for the one-day match posting a two-under-par round of 70.
Senior Devansh Chada was one stroke back on one-under 71 and finished in second place. Sophomores Joel Sullivan tied 7th after his 4-over 76 and Caden Holmes was one stroke back.
Junior Lyla Vaughn claimed first place on the women’s side following her 2-over round of 74
The rest of the team finished in the top 10 with sophomores Dili Sitanonth and Miness Siame finishing in third and fourth place, while junior A’marie Smith placed 6th.
The Tigers return to the links in November when they compete in their final tournament for the fall at the Birmingham Invitational hosted by the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
