TSU Offensive Trio Named To All-SWAC Preseason 2nd Team

A trio of TSU offensive starters earned 2026 Preseason All-SWAC Second Team honors on Wednesday.
Named to the team were junior tight end Kordell Rodgers, sophomore offensive lineman Jayden Daniels and redshirt junior wideout Roriyon Richardson.A Houston native, Richardson is coming off a productive season which saw him lead TSU in touchdown receptions (4) while ranking second on the team in receptions (31) and leading the team in receiving yards (462). He had a pair of 100-yard receiving games and four games with four-plus receptions.
Rodgers, a Houston native and high school teammate of Richardson, led the way for TSU's tight ends after catching 20 receptions for 177 yards and three touchdowns. He played a big part in both the team's rushing and passing attacks as TSU finished as the SWAC's fourth-best rushing offense.
Daniels, a sophomore from Albany, Ga., was a day one starter as a true freshman on the offensive line and helped TSU rank fourth offensively in the SWAC in rush offense. The Tigers had highs of 350 yards rushing and 298 passing yards while surpassing the 360-yard total offense mark in five games.
