JACKSON, Miss.- The Texas Southern Tigers basketball team dropped their second league contest of the season on Monday losing to Jackson State 71-62.
Marvin Jones led all TSU scorers tallying 14 points and 8 rebounds. Trae Jefferson (13), Zach Lofton (12), and Jalan McCloud (10) rounded out the list of double-digit contributors for TSU.
Texas Southern trailed 36-30 at halftime as the Tigers looked out of sync for the majority of the night offensively as they went 7-of-20 from the field in the first half of play.
The Tigers were outrebounded 32-27 while committing 12 turnovers to Jackson State's 12.
TSU returns home this weekend to host Arkansas-Pine Bluff at the HPE Arena.
