
FLOWOOD, Miss. – Texas Southern men’s golf team maintains a four-shot lead over the field following the second round of the 2022 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Golf Championships.
“We are playing solid team golf with room to improve,” Texas Southern University head golf coach Dr. Gary Grandison said.
Freshman William O’Connor delivered the day’s low round after posting a 3-under 69 which tied him for first place. O’Conner sits at a 3-under 141 (72-69) for the tournament. Senior Landon Johnstone is tied 7th on 147 (70-77) following his 2-under par opening round. Junior Devansh Chadha is one stroke back on 148 (74-74) and tied 9th.
“We are in a dog fight as expected, and we are gearing up for our final round,” Dr. Grandison concluded.
The Tigers tee up for the final round of the SWAC Championships Wednesday morning with an 8:50 a.m. start at The Refuge Golf Club.
