The TSU men's track & field teams closed out the month with several strong marks after running in meets at Rice and the University of Texas.

The 4x100-meter relay team placed third while several field event participants had solid outings at the Texas Invitational this past weekend.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Isaac Henderson, Chaunzavia Lewis, Christian Jones and William Perry ran a time of 40.8 to place third overall. In the field. Ahmad Muhammad finished fourth in the triple jump (47-8) while Babacar Diop placed eighth (43-11.75).

Jalen Walker finished eighth in the hammer (193-9) while Jaden Brooks moved to sixth in the SWAC after a mark of 162-8 in the javelin.

David Livingston ran a personal and SWAC-best time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight Meet at Rice University.

Livingston placed sixth overall with a time of 9:38.41 in the steeplechase. William Davis also ran a personal-best in the 400-meter hurdles to place sixth (57.96) while Bruce Prince finished seventh (1:56.16) in the 800. Gael Flores also ran a personal-best in the 5,000 as he ranks sixth in the SWAC.

TSU is back in action on Friday at the Cameron Burrell Invitational at the University of Houston.
