Texas Southern midfielder Ashley Arnes was named to the 2022 Preseason All-SWAC Soccer Team. The preseason poll was voted on by the league’s head coaches and sports information directors.
Arnes, who earned first team honors, was TSU’s scoring leader with five goals on the season. She was a multiple SWAC Player of the Week honoree while also connecting on a pair of game-winning goals.
As a team, TSU was picked seventh.
TSU is scheduled for a 1 p.m. exhibition against Navarro College on Sunday, Aug. 14 inside Durley Stadium.
