Tigers Fall To Southern As Season Comes To A Tough Close
Texas Southern’s postseason run came to a close Friday morning as the Tigers dropped a 2-0 decision to Southern University in the SWAC Tournament elimination bracket final in Gulfport, Miss.
The Tigers finished the season with a 30-12 overall record after a tightly-contested pitcher’s duel at the Gulfport Sportsplex.
Junior pitcher Zaria Turner turned in another strong postseason performance, allowing only five hits and two earned runs while striking out six over six innings.
