Softball Weekend Series Moved To Sylvester Turner Park In North Houston
Due to an event conflict at Memorial Park, this weekend’s TSU Softball home series versus Grambling State has been moved to Sylvester Turner Park.
The park sits behind the Houston Astros Urban Youth Academy and is located at 2800 West Little York Road in Houston. TSU will host Grambling State for a single game at 3 p.m. on Friday before wrapping up the regular season with a noon doubleheader on Saturday. After Saturday’s doubleheader, TSU will honor five seniors and their families during a postgame ceremony.
TSU has won five straight entering Friday’s contest as this marks the final regular season series before the start of the SWAC Tournament on May 5 in Gulfport, Miss. TSU is currently a half-game behind Southern for the second seed in the SWAC West.
