Corpus Christi, Texas — The Texas Southern Lady Tigers earned their first result of the season with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Texas A&M–Corpus Christi at Dugan Soccer Stadium. A late goal from freshman Kamara Bradley salvaged the tie in a match filled with intensity and momentum swings.

After a scoreless first half, the Islanders broke through in the 56th minute when Mai-Lisa Atis converted a penalty kick following a foul in the box. The Lady Tigers nearly responded minutes later with a penalty kick of their own, but Melissa Knutson’s attempt was denied by Islanders goalkeeper Hayven Harrison, who finished with four saves.
