ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Texas Southern dropped its 2025 regular season debut on the road at the University of New Mexico on Thursday night.
The Lobos scored their goal seven minutes in and added another two minutes later for an early 2-0 lead. TSU would settle down as Jacelyn Russ recorded the team’s first official shot of the season in the ninth minute but the Lobos would counter with its third goal of the half during the 12th minute to lead 3-0.
TSU would have opportunities throughout the half to score as Liz Alberto and Savannah Muldrew both had shot attempts. However, UNM tacked on three more goals en route to a 6-0 halftime lead…
