Tigers Fall In Final Inning To Florida A&M

GULFPORT, Miss. – The 2025 softball season officially ended as Florida A&M scored the winning run in the top of the seventh to hand TSU a 1-0 loss in the SWAC Tournament.

The day belonged to the pitchers as only one runner reached third between both teams entering the seventh. In the bottom of the seventh, FAMU hit a one out single, but TSU was on the verge of throwing the lead runner out on a fielder’s choice. However, the throw was muffed at second and the runner advanced to third. FAMU hit a well-placed chopper in between third and home place during its next at-bat which allowed the runner to score for the win as TSU.

TSU finished with three hits as Kylie Wilson struck out two while allowing only four hits.
