SAN ANTONIO, Texas – A 10-run first inning was the difference as TSU fell at Incarnate Word on Friday afternoon.
UIW scored five runs in the first before TSU recorded the first out. UIW ultimately scored 10 runs for an early 10-0 lead. TSU scored its lone run in the second as Evan Joubert scored off a sac fly by Miguel Morales. Unfortunately, would only muster two hits from that point while UIW added eight additional runs between the third and sixth innings to pad its lead.
TSU had four hits while Morales had the lone RBI. Josh Prieto fell to 0-1 on the year on the mound after three innings of action.
The series resumes at 2:05 p.m. Saturday.
