Lee Tied For 8th After Day 1 Of ASU Spring Invitational

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Texas Southern women’s golf team is tied for eighth place following the opening round of the ASU Spring Invitational hosted by Alabama State University.

Graduate student Kennadi Lee is in the lead for the Tigers following her 7-over-79 round and is tied in eighth place individually. Freshman Azul Amezcua is one stroke back on 8-over and is tied for 13th.

The ASU Spring Classic takes place at Arrowhead Country Club and was scheduled to be a 54-hole tournament. However, day one was shortened to just over 20 holes due to inclement weather. As a result, the ASU Spring Invitational will be shortened to 36 holes of play and completed on Tuesday. The final round will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a shotgun start.
