PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Texas Southern soccer is headed to the finals of the SWAC Tournament after a 2-1 comeback win over Alabama A&M on Friday.
Alabama A&M struck first off a header six minutes for an early 1-0 lead. With the mood of the game turned, the Tigers had to deal with an early deficit plus a new factor as lightning delayed the contest for more than an hour.
After the delay, the Tigers would find their stride in the 25th minute as Melissa Knutson’s shot deflected off the top of the goal as Victoria Pucci knocked it in to knot it at 1-all.
