Women’s Cross Country Wins PVAMU Meet Behind 1-2-3 Finish

Texas Southern women’s cross country finished 1-2-3 as they won the 2023 Prairie View A&M Cross Country meet Friday morning.
 
The trio of Alyvia Brown, McKenna Duty and Jessica Williams took control of the 5K meet early on as Brown won the race in a time of 6:38.7. Duty followed Brown up with a time of 6:45.3 while Williams finished third by only five-tenths of a second as she logged a time of a 6:45.8.
 
Arianna May, Tardranique London and Kayla Jenkins rounded out the race for the Tigers.
 
TSU is back in action at the 2023 SWAC Cross Country Championships on Monday, Oct. 23 in Tallahassee, Fla.
