Fontenot Named SWAC Co-Pitcher Of The Week

Texas Southern junior pitcher Cade Fontenot was named the SWAC’s Co-Pitcher of the Week following his performance on Sunday.
 
The junior from Colleyville, Texas had a career day with a complete game, 11-strikeout shutout on five hits allowed as Texas Southern defeated Prairie View A&M 2-0. Fontenot has been on a roll lately with a total of 27 strikeouts over his past three appearances.
 
Fontenot and TSU are back in action for their final series of the 2023 regular season as they’ll face Alcorn State beginning on Thursday ay 3 p.m. at MacGregor Park.
