Women’s Golf Heads To Beaumont

BEAUMONT, Texas – The Texas Southern women’s golf team is back in action this week as they compete in the Lamar Cardinal Challenge hosted by Lamar University.

The Tigers tied for first place in their last outing at the Gulf Shores Invitational hosted by the Black College Golf Coaches Association.

Junior Ashlie Howard-Hobbs was the top scorer for the Tigers with her 2nd-place individual finish on 238 (76-79-83). Sophomore Dili Sitanonth was two strokes back on 240 (81-81-78) and finished in third place.

The Lamar Cardinal Challenge will take place at Beaumont Country Club in Beaumont, Texas with the practice round on Sunday, 36 holes on Monday, and the final round on Tuesday.
