TSU Student-Athletes Receive Chromebooks, Wifi Hotspots As Part Of Digital Inclusion Day

The TSU Department of Athletics recently helped close the digital gap after participating in the Digital Inclusion Day sponsored by the Harris County Library System, AT&T and Council Member Carolyn Evans-Shabazz.

Student-athletes and departmental staff were provided 250 Wifi hotspots to use at their own discretion while 50 Chromebooks were also handed out to deserving student-athletes. The event was so successful that an additional date may be added for the remainder of the TSU community.

“I would like to thank Dr. Bobby Mills and Johnny Molock of BDD (Bridging The Digital Divide) and his team along with the Harris County Library System, AT&T and Council Member Carolyn Evans-Shabazz for their assistance in ensuring our student-athletes have top-of-the line equipment which will have a direct impact on their classwork,” said Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Kevin Granger. “Our student-athletes appreciate everyone involved in furthering their development.”
