Men’s Golf Place 4th at SAS HBCU Invitational
CARY, N.C. – The Texas Southern men’s golf team posted a 54-hole total of 880 (296 – 290 – 294) to place fourth overall at the SAS Championship HBCU Invitational hosted by the PGA Tour Champions on Sunday.
Freshman Javier Vazquez posted a five-over-par 215 (76 – 69 – 70) to finish tied in 5th place individually. Vazquez’s even-par final round of 70 included three birdies, 13 pars, and two bogeys or worse. He also posted the team’s low round for the tournament with his one-under-par 69 in round two.
Sophomore Ricardo Pham had a solid performance and finished tied 9th with his seven-over-par 217 (72 – 72 – 73) total. Pham held together a great round after a tough start with birdies and six pars. Junior Bradley…
