PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Texas Southern scored five runs in the first and its defense did the rest as they defeated Prairie View A&M 10-1 on Friday.
Freshman Kylie Wilson opened the game with a leadoff single and moved to third after a PVAMU error which also allowed Marisa Perla to reach base. Wilson scored on a passed ball and Perla scored on a Karisma Garcia RBI to lead 2-0. Destiny Menchaca drove in the third run of the game followed by Marissa Martinez’s two-RBI double for a 5-0 lead.
