LORMAN, Miss. – TSU used a big first half run and rode the momentum into the second half as they managed a 75-59 road split win in a critical contest at Alcorn State on Monday night.
Entering Monday’s game, the Tigers were under high alert in the SWAC standings as ASU was a half-game behind and looking to move up in the tourney standings as the loser would drop to seventh. A move to seventh would’ve meant playing a day earlier in the SWAC Tournament in addition to having to win four games instead of the normal three games.
