Tigers Have Successful Home Debut With Series Sweep Over Alabama A&M
Texas Southern baseball opened up its home schedule with a weekend sweep over Alabama A&M on Saturday and Sunday at MacGregor Park.

Jaden Jones’ two-RBI single in the seventh moved TSU ahead for good as they won the opener 6-5.
Tyler Legendre led the third off with a solo homer but AAMU tied it at 1-all in the top of the fifth. TSU countered as its bats came alive with a crucial three-run homer by Bryce Hughes in the bottom of the fifth, giving TSU a 4-1 lead. Despite Alabama A&M taking a 5-4 lead in the seventh, TSU’s offense responded with timely hits and at-bats in the bottom frame as Jaden Jones’ 2-RBI single, his second hit of the game, secured the win as Bryce Hughes and Kelton Phillips scored.
