RENO, Nev. – A 26-4 run towards the close of the first half set the tone for Nevada to claim a 105-73 win over TSU men’s basketball on Saturday night.
Nevada jumped out to an early 16-4 lead behind the strength of four three-pointers. TSU’s Zaire Hayes would end the drought with a three-pointer as the Tigers began to settle down and cut it to single digits on two occasions. With 12:39 left, Nevada moved its lead back to 12 but the Tigers went on an 11-4 run sparked by four Tigers scoring as they trailed 24-20 at the 10:33 mark.
The Wolfpack attempted the create further separation over the next three minutes but TSU’s play on both ends kept them close as they trailed 29-25…
