Soccer Opens 2021 Fall Campaign Thursday Night At Houston Sports Park
Third-year head coach Lindsay Vera is excited about the fall season as she returns most of the roster from the 2021 spring season but added 12 newcomers from the four-year, junior college and high school ranks to add additional talent and depth. Even though TSU had less than four months from its last game, Vera is ready to start a new chapter but also said it helps with retaining things they worked on in the spring.
“It was nice we had a quick turnaround because the motivation is there and it’s not so far out of our heads what we’re doing this for,” Vera said. “It’s nice not to wait long enough to get a second chance.”
Fans who attend Thursday’s game are advised to bring their own seating as the facility does not have bleacher seating.
TSU will begin an early stretch with two games in four days as they’ll head to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Sunday.Â
