CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas Southern wrapped up non-conference play Thursday night with a 1-1 draw at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Nearly one week after their last meeting, TSU set the tone early on offensively with four shots. The Tigers broke through in the 35th minute of the first half as Isabella Dillow scored off a Rayal Henderson assist for the early 1-0 lead which stood through halftime.
Three minutes into the second half, the Islanders knotted the contest at 1-all after Morgan Westbury’s goal. The contest’s intensity was high from that point as both teams were dealt multiple yellow cards while TSU kept the pressure on the Islanders offensively with several chances in the closing minutes.
