Muhammad Finishes 2nd In Triple Jump, Men’s Track Opens 2025 Season
Ahmad Muhammad finished second in the triple jump as the Texas Southern men’s track & field team had 11 top-10 marks following their 2025 season opener at the Leonard Hilton Invitational on Friday.
Donyea Jarmon had a strong weekend as he finished seventh in the 60-meter hurdles after a personal best and the SWAC’s second-best run of 8.07. Brandon Adolphus finished seventh overall and ranks fourth in the SWAC after a run of 4:27.29 in the mile. Adolphus also ranks third in the SWAC after a time of 9:14.74 in the 3,000.
Tyree Newman jumped 21-11.5 feet en route to a ninth-place finish in the long jump while Trevon Hill finished eighth in the shot put and posted the second-best mark in the SWAC after a throw of 49-9.75.
