Men’s Track & Field Repeats As SWAC Indoor Champions
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Texas Southern men’s track & field won its second consecutive SWAC Indoor Championship with a thrilling finish at the Birmingham Crossplex.
Between last year’s trifecta of winning men’s cross country, indoor/outdoor titles, and the 2024 men’s cross country championship, TSU has now won five consecutive titles under head coach emeritus Clyde Duncan, Sr. Duncan, Sr. also won his fifth straight SWAC Coach of the Year honor.
“This is a result of hard work and preparation by our coaching staff and student-athletes,” said Duncan, Sr. “Everyone who participated today had a hand in this championship and we needed all of them to dig deep to persevere. I’m so proud of our team and their efforts in helping to make history at TSU.”
Every point would matter as Texas Southern used a solid start on Saturday to build an 11-point lead with 51 total points.
