Loudermill Scores 18 In TSU Debut As Women’s Basketball Falls At SFA

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – TSU women’s basketball dropped its 2024-25 season debut to SFA by an 86-45 margin on Monday evening.

TSU took an early 4-3 lead but SFA went on an 11-0 run to lead 14-4 as TSU shot 0-for-7 from the field during that span. Aylasia Fantroy’s two layups cut the gap to 14-8 but SFA closed out the half on a 14-2 run aided by near-perfect shooting to lead 28-10.

TSU would only score a free throw to open the second quarter and didn’t connect on a field goal until Courtlyn Loudermill’s layup at the 6:10 mark. On the flip side, SFA took advantage with nine points within the first four minutes to extend its lead as they led 50-22 at the half.

SFA’s lead at the close of the first half was too much for TSU to overcome as they captured their third straight win over TSU.
