Lilley, Scroggins Named SWAC Volleyball Players Of The Week
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Texas Southern’s Danielle Lilley and Kaitlyn Scroggins as its Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.
Lilley helped Texas Southern post its first winning streak of the season. She led the team with 24 kills, 10 aces, 15 digs, and three blocks. She registered a total of 35.5 points to help the team win matches against Alcorn State and Southern. Lilley is currently ranked seventh in the league in service aces (20).

Scroggins led TSU with 25 digs to contribute to the Lady Tigers’ first winning streak in league play. In a two-match span, she registered 25 digs, five assists, and three aces. Scroggins is currently ranked eighth in the league in total digs (182).
Both players are back in action on Monday as they’ll face Prairie View A&M at 6 p.m. inside Delmar Fiedhouse. The match has been moved due to the renovation of the playing surface inside the H&PE Arena.
