Lady Tigers Face Louisiana Tech in Historic WNIT Round 2 Showdown
The Texas Southern Women’s basketball team is back in action on the road in Ruston, LA on Monday ,March 24 to take on Louisiana Tech at 6:30 pm, in round 2 of the WNIT.
•TSU’s Lady Tigers are making their first postseason appearance since 2018, hosting their first-ever NIT contest. This marks their first Round 2 appearance in program history. They finished 3rd in the SWAC and had an impressive 11-0 run, their best start since the 1980-81 season.
• This season, the women’s basketball schedule changes drastically as the women will play SWAC games on Thursday (single game) and Saturday (doubleheader). This marks the first time since 1995 that the SWAC has altered its league basketball schedule.
