Dr. Dwalah Fisher To Host Book Launch Sunday Afternoon
Current Texas Southern Assistant Athletics Director/Senior Woman Administrator Dr. Dwalah Fisher will host a book launch of Coached by Cancer: The MVP Was Me, Sunday, Sept. 15 at 3 p.m. inside the TSU Roderick R. Paige Education Building Auditorium at 3 p.m.
A SWAC Hall-of-Famer and soon-to-be Texas Southern Athletics’ Hall-of-Famer next month, the book details Dr. Fisher’s triple-negative battle with breast cancer several years ago. A lifelong athlete and former head coach, Dr. Fisher suddenly found herself “a rookie” in the fight of her life.
