Bowling Wraps Up Weekend At TNBA/HBCU Invitational

ATLANTA, Ga. – The TSU bowling team returned to the lanes for the second straight weekend as they participated in the TNBA/HBCU Invitational.
 
TSU went 2-3 to open Baker play on Friday as they shook off two early losses to Florida A&M and Jackson State before returning to defeat Alabama A&M and Coppin State. TSU closed out the first day of action with a loss to Alabama State.
 
The Tigers opened traditional play on Saturday with a win over Southern but dropped its next contest to Morgan State. They rebounded to defeat Bowie State before splitting with Fayetteville State (L) and Grambling State (W).
 
TSU opened Sunday’s bracket play with a 4-0 win over Grambling State but fell 4-1 to Norfolk State before closing out tourney play with a 4-0 win over Grambling State.
 
Shyanne Ciesiolka and Cassie De La Fuente both finished with the team’s top average as they both averaged 164.6 in five traditional matches.
 
TSU is back in action at the SWAC Championship on March 25-27 in Arlington, Texas.
