FLOWOOD, Miss. – The Texas Southern women’s golf team won its second straight conference title after winning the 2023 SWAC Championship on Wednesday.
TSU took control of the championship from the opening round as they ended up winning the title by 21 strokes. Sophomore Dili Sitanonth finished atop the leaderboard and was awarded low medalist while teammate Ashlie Hobbs finished one stroke behind for second place overall. Team members Lyla Vaughn and Miness Siame both finished 10th overall and earned second team honors as a result.
This marks the third overall title for the program, the second consecutive title and the first for head coach Willie Shankle, PGA.
